Symbolic:
Lapis-lazuli is a stone composed of different minerals imparting it its
typical blue-overseas color, its fine white veins (calcite) and small gold
dots (pyrite). Lapis-lazuli was praised by the Persians, as it shone like a
starry sky. At the physical level, Lapis-lazuli is a stone of balance, healing,
regulation and soothing. In the Middle Ages, the stone was renowned for
its rejuvenating action on the body, and was said to maintain healthy limbs.
