CHAROITE, a stone Localized only in Russia, charotis is considered to be a rare stone. It takes its name from the Chara River, flowing in the Aldan massif, a group of reliefs with an average height of 800 to 1000 m. The word “chary” means “charm” or “magic” in Russian.
